Learn more

Cultural practitioners from Switzerland may apply for research trips to Russia*. At the same time, cultural practitioners from Russia may apply for research trips to Switzerland.

Applications may be submitted via myprohelvetia on an ongoing basis, but at the latest three months before the trip is due to begin. Applications must be submitted in English.

Research trips are limited to a maximum of four weeks and are intended to provide inspiration, to network and to conduct research. Pro Helvetia offers accommodation, a daily allowance, professional support, travel costs, contribution to production/material costs (on request).

Selection criteria

  • Convincing track record: artistic activity with a national / transregional reach
  • Context-related motivation
  • Sufficient knowledge of the respective foreign language(s)
  • Concrete exchange project with a lasting impact

*the trip to Russia remains an individual decision that must be made consciously and in compliance with the FDFA recommendations at the time of the trip. Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
