October 7-10. «Oratorio Virtuale» Multimedia Project

Swiss composer Alberto Barberis and Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble present the “Oratorio Virtuale” multimedia musical project.

“Oratorio Virtuale” is an electro-acoustic audiovisual modern reconstruction of the Baroque oratorio «San Giovanni Battista», written by Alessandro Stradella in 1675. Specially for a joint project with MCME, Alberto Barberis, presents an updated version of the Oratorio, where he reconstructs two arias from the original work of Alessandro Stradella. Barberis transforms the source material both by sampling and processing audio recordings, and by working on the original melody, harmony, and rhythm.

The oratorio along with visual performance is on stage on October 7 in Yekaterinburg, October 9 in Perm and October 10 in Moscow. More
