On October 4-8, Smena Center for Contemporary Culture in Kazan hosts the international laboratory «Svyaz» (Connection) with the support of Write like a grrrl writing courses for women, the Swiss organizations Volumes and Teti Press.
The purpose of the laboratory is to explore the forms and possibilities of co-creation, the interaction between text and visual art. During the laboratory, participants can attend lectures and workshops by curators and invited professionals dedicated to comfortable co-creation, theory and practice of light production printing, text writing and editing. The results of the laboratory comes in zines that will be exhibited at Smena and at the Volumes festival in Zurich.
Among Svyaz’s Swiss curators are an independent artist and curator, co-founder of the Volumes festival, Anne-Laure Franchette, co-founder of TETI Press, Gabriel Gee, and graphic designer and educator Philippe Desarzens. More
