Look Through

The 6th International Festival of Book Illustration and Visual Literature «Mors» will run online. Lectures, master classes and work reviews will be hosted in zoom-conferences and the exhibit of the illustrators – in social media networks VKontakte and Facebook.

One of the festival principal events will be the presentation of the works created within the online residency «Window», which took place in the summer.

Online residency «Window» is an experimental format of cooperation between Russian and Swiss illustrators initiated by Pro Helvetia and «Mors» Festival.

The residency united artists from Switzerland and Russia, Yannis La Macchia, Irene Schoch, Anna Sommer, Andrey Pokrovskiy, Marta Zhuravskaya, and Sayana Khomonova. During one month, the artists exchanged their life experience throughout the pandemic and reproduced each other’s stories in their illustrations.

The festival will host an online exhibit of the full-size illustrations created within the residency and present a published book with the works of all project participants. The artists will get together in zoom to share with the interested audiences their experience during the residency of the new unusual format.

Please check the «Mors» Festival website for possible changes in the program.
