October 1–4. Nik Bärtsch’s Ronin Russian Tour

Famous Swiss pianist and composer, Nik Bärtsch defines the style of his main project, quartet RONIN, as zen-funk. RONIN’s music is almost always based on a strong, tight groove, thanks to the rhythm section consisting of drummer Kaspar Rast and bassist Thomy Jordi, as well as on a meticulous, painstaking work with timing in music. RONIN’s balancing between jazz, rock, and academic minimalism is what brought this band its fame.

In addition to concerts, Nik Bärtsch will host a creative meeting on October 3 at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.
