November 8-22. NET-2017. Moscow

On November 8 – December 20, the 19th festival «New European Theater» – NET 2017 takes place in Moscow.
This year the festival has programmed two Swiss performances: «The Unusual Weather Phenomena Project» by Thom Luz and «Martin Luther Propagandapiece» by Boris Nikitin.
The production of Thom Luz opens the festival at the Theater of Nations on November 8 and 9. The performance is based on the American physicist William Corliss «Handbook of Unusual Natural Phenomena» and creates a musical interpretation of the text. Four musicians: Mathias Weibel, Michael Flury, Evelinn Trouble, and Mara Miribung, as well as sound engineer Martin Hofstetter arrange a weather symphony for trombone, trumpet, violin, audio tape, and light machine.
A sermon turned into a theatrical performance, «Martin Luther Propagandapiece» will be played at the CCI «Fabrika» on November 21 and 22. It is a mixture of theological rhetoric and atheistic preaching combined by the theater director Boris Nikitin who raises questions of freedom, radicalism, and man’s influence on the reality. More
