From 12th till 28th of May The Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography will run “Photobookfest”, large-scaled international event dedicated to the photobook industry and photographic art in Russia. The festival will involve extensive exhibition and education programs, as well as dummy contest.
The first “Photobookfest” aims to introduce Russian audience to the photobook as a contemporary visual medium in its own right, enable horizontal cultural connections and international networking, and, most importantly, give people a chance to meet and talk.
The festival will take place at the Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography, Moscow.
Salvatore Vitale, the Swiss photographer and the editor-in-chief of the YET Magazine, is among the special guests of the Photobookfest public programme. Apart from being a jury member for the Photobook Dummy Contest, he will also give a lecture on storytelling in digital and print on the 13th of May.
