Russian festival-competition of chamber performances One. Two. Three brings together productions which involve no more than three actors each.
This year, the festival presents an off-program dance performance Buzz Riot by Swiss dancer and choreographer Rudi van der Merwe.
Buzz Riot is a performance about interaction and conflicts between people. Rudi van der Merwe talks about a deeply personal experience, and at the same time about the problem of information noise and visual excessiveness of today’s world. Director asks whether two people are able to express themselves and their feelings in the space we live in with its overwhelming level of noise.
The Novosibirsk State Academic Drama Theatre ‘Red Torch’ will host the performance, which will be shown twice on February 27 — at 15:00 and 19:00.
On February 28, Rudi will run an active workshop for people with different training backgrounds. During the workshop, participants will learn the basics of free movement and performativity, as well as look into the concept of contemporary dance. Rudi will be assisted by Russian-French choreographer and tutor Dina Khuseyn. More
