August 30 – September 1. Bern. «Reportagen» Festival

924 journalists from 98 countries submitted their works for the True Story Award competition. 39 authors were shortlisted. Among them are the three Russian journalists: Olesya Gerasimenko, Shura Burtin and Elena Kostyuchenko.

With the support from Pro Helvetia, all Russian nominees are invited to present their stories at the Reportagen Festival Bern that will take place on August 30 – September 1. The three-day program of the festival includes 50 events: meetings, discussions and presentations of the world best reporters who will discuss the most burning issues and share their stories from the backstage of the breaking events.

On August 31, Olesya Gerasimenko will discuss her work dedicated to the provocative Voina Art Group, while Mikhail Ratgauz, the managing editor of the colta.ru online platform will take part in the discussion addressing the freedom of the press.

The True Story Award ceremony will crown the festival in Bern City Theatre.

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
