Event

29 July – 10 September. Virtual Studios #VirtualSPAR: Season 5

From July 29th to September 10th #VirtualSPAR is hosting a new international season with six multidisciplinary artists from Switzerland and Russia moving into their virtual studios at https://virtualresidency.p-10.ru. Season 5 is entitled „Beyond Distance“. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we’ve been dealing with distance in different forms: social distancing, remote work, and separation. Still, with all the challenges distance made us face, it also introduced new perspectives. What is it that we see when we step back? And how can creative work and collaborations go beyond distance?

The artists who will be exploring these questions during Season 5 are: Maria Guta (based in Switzerland), the duo Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė (based in Switzerland), Dagnini (based in Russia), Dmitry Shubin (based in Russia), and Lera Lerner (based in Russia).

We invite you to follow the online residencies of the artists and join the public program (Moscow time):

  • 01.09.21 / 19:00  – Artist talk with Dagnini (Russia)
  • 03.09.21 / 19:00 – Artist talk with Dorota Gaweda and Egle Kulbokaite (Switzerland)
  • 07.09.21 / 19:00 – Artist talk with Lera Lerner (Russia)
  • 09.09.21 / 19:00 – Artist talk with Maria Guta (Switzerland)
