14 September-29 October. Krasnodar. “Superoblozhka” Festival

After an exhibit at the Photobookfest in Moscow’s Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography this spring, the exhibit «Swiss Photobooks Today: From the Amazon to the Viennese Ball» will now be at the Typography Center for Contemporary Art in Krasnodar.

Five photobook collections from various cities in Russia and Switzerland will be featured at the Superoblozhka Festival, which opens in Krasnodar on 14 September. These collections encompass the major Russian initiatives working with photobooks.

The Swiss part of the exhibit includes twenty of the most important publications highlighting the multifaceted approaches of Swiss contemporary artists towards photography. A number of bestselling books are included in the exhibit, such as Yann Gross’s The Jungle Book: Contemporary Stories of the Amazon and Its Fringe, Catherine Leutenegger’s Kodak City, Laurence Rasti’s There Are No Homosexuals in Iran, and many more.
