Pro Helvetia opened Liaison Office in Moscow

The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia celebrated the official opening of the Liaison Office in Moscow on February 25 and 26 with a varied programme of Swiss plays, performances and installations at Stanislavsky Electrotheatre.

On February 25 2017, after more than four successful years of the «Swiss Made in Russia» programme, Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council, opened its Moscow liaison office. The office in Moscow became the latest addition to a worldwide network that comprises further liaison offices in Cairo, Shanghai, New Delhi and Johannesburg and cultural centers in Paris, New York, San Francisco and Rome/Milan.

Celebrating the opening with Swiss artists
On Saturday, February 25, guests were be able to see the performances «Blanc» by Yann Marussich and «One One One» by Ioannis Mandafounis dance company as well as the video performance «Horsetail Knickerbelt» by Delgado Fuchs duo. The Moscow premiere of «My Dinner with You», played by Dialogue Dance after a choreography by Cécile Loyer, took place on the main stage. Together with dancers, Swiss composer and musician Simon Berz also performed – he created live sound design during the performance. This was followed by Delgado Fuchs’ performance called «Nirvana».
The Saturday night was concluded by DJ Jimi Jules at Noor bar.

On Sunday, February 26, visitors of the public programme saw performances by Ioannis Mandafounis, Yann Marussich, the installation by Delgado Fuchs, and had an opportunity to join a discussion between Russian and Swiss artists on spectator and performer interaction in performance arts. Discussion participants include Yann Marussich, composers Sergey Kassich and Vladimir Gorlinsky and artist Kseniya Peretrukhina. The discussion was moderated by theatre expert Kristina Matvienko.
