Performance Art

Lucie Tuma is an artist, choreographer, and dancer who lives and works in Zurich.

She studied dance and theater in Prague, Montpellier, and Giessen. Lucie is particularly interested in the physical manifestation of the intangible. She believes that dance is a sculpture existing in time and thus limited by it. Her works include performances, art objects, books, and music.

In 2020, Tuma will travel to Vladivostok and China, where she will investigate how local people perceive the theme of death. In addition to talks and interviews, Lucie’s research process encompasses dance performances, workshops, creating objects, and writing texts.
