Artist Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov works at the intersection of art and science, exploring nature as a universal language of communication between people and cultures. He uses natural materials to create his works. In 2017 Ilya participated in the 7th Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art. He was nominee for 2018 INNOVATION State Prize in Contemporary Art in the ‘New Generation’ category. Works by IIya Fedotov-Fedorov are included in the collection of Moscow Museum of Modern Art and a number of private collections.
Ilya is now working on his project Poisons Museum, for which he studies the history of toxic substances and analyzes problems of information credibility and differences between truth, falsehood, and fantasy.
Artist is going to Switzerland, a country well known for its pharmaceutical and biochemical laboratories, to collect material for his project in local archives, museums, and libraries, as well as to connect with experts in the field of art&science.
