Boris Shershenkov is an engineer and sound artist, media archaeologist, and designer of musical instruments. He has a PhD in Engineering & Technology. Shershenkov works in the genre of experimental electronic music and is known for his sound installations and performances. He curates concert programmes, exhibitions, and educational projects. Boris is the author of Audioarchitecture, a method of creating multi-channel electroacoustic compositions. He performs live electronic music and electroacoustic improvisation, both solo and in collaboration with musicians from Russia and other countries.
In order to further study spatial composition and acoustic objects, Boris chooses to go to a Swiss art residence for a reason. Contemporary experimental music scene in Switzerland is one of the strongest in Europe. It’s extremely active and diverse and is in constant search of fresh names and inspiring collaborations.
