Research Trips

This autumn several independent Russian curators are set to travel to Switzerland:

– Anton Valkovsky, curator of the «Biennale of Difficult Heritage», to explore the artistic practices and strategies of contemporary Swiss artists working with difficult heritage. He will investigate different artistic formats, methods and approaches in working with traumatic historical experiences.

– Zhenya Chaika, independent researcher of art residencies and curator of interdisciplinary projects, to find Swiss partners for an initiative exploring the possibility of a polycentric horizontal international cultural exchange.

– Marianna Kruczynski, curator and member of the collective Typography, to work on an audio-paper exploring how universal conscription, arms production and at the same time a position of neutrality are reflected in Swiss culture in general and in audio works and the soundscape, in particular.
