Performances by Ronja Römmelt and Sarah Koller in Bishkek

The teams of CEC ArtsLink, Bishkek School of Contemporary Art and Tazar Kyrgyzstan have joined forces to organise the international environmental art festival «Making Sense of Pollution History – ART PROSPECT & TRASH-5» in Bishkek.

More than twenty artists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, the USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Georgia and the Czech Republic will take part in the festival. They will present their works that reflect on the problems of pollution in their region through archival research, interactive installations of recyclable materials, performances, exhibitions and art sessions, workshops, discussions and presentations.

Swiss artists Ronja Römmelt and Sara Koller will present the participatory performance «Zwischenräume» in collaboration with local artists. Ronja Römmelt will also give a master class and a public talk for young artists.

The festival will take place: September 22 – October 19.

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
