WINDCATCHER is a project in Metaverse and AR made by artist Mariia Fedorova within the Pro Helvetia online residency. The work refers to the formation of new ecologies, and enquires architecture in which nature and technology are closely intertwined.

During the online event guests can stroll through the WIND HOUSE, where they will be able to watch a performance by the Son of the Wind, the avatar version of twice European champion in Pole Art and Pole Theatre Yuriy Kazachkin. Kazachin’s gravity defying performance was recorded with motion capture technology and transferred into the metaverse. His avatar invites us to think about relations of physical and virtual body knowledge.

During the event the artist Mariia Fedоrova will be present online to give comments and have conversations.
